Community Sings Christmas

Tuesday 4th December brought “Churches Together in South West Leicester” together with school choirs from Caldecote Community Primary and Winstanley Community College.  They made a joyful sound.

Christmas had now started as over two hundred people filled Trinity Methodist Church to listen to young voices and join in to proclaim the beginning of Advent. Everyone had a smile on their faces from the beginning to the end of this carol service. It began with “Once In Royal David’s City” and ended with “O Come All Ye Faithful”, with other well-known carols in between.

The Rev’d Joseph Suray welcomed us. John Florence and Wayne Naylor were two of the people who read the Christmas story. The Rev’d Chris Burch led the rest of the service.

Hot mince pies and drinks were served after this very happy occasion. This is the 10th year this annual carol service has taken place.
