The Braunstone Community Association have sponsored an annual Carol Service, as a way of bringing together the people of Braunstone. Last year the service was supported by the Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service, and it was such a success that they’ve offered to do the same again. Dave Webb the Chief Fire Officer will read a lesson, and the combined churches in the area will come up with yet another creative way of offering prayers! Local schools are invited to come and sing something – it’s a real joint effort that has its own unique atmosphere.
Watch out for “Rudolph”, the Fire Service’s mechanised reindeer, who will park outside and collect money for local good causes.
