Maundy Thursday – “Do this to remember me”

On the night before he died, Jesus took a towel and washed the feet of his disciples. He gave them a “new commandment” (or mandatum, the Latin word from which we get “Maundy”) – the command to love one another as he loves us. And he took bread and wine, blessed them and told his disciples to eat and drink in remembrance of him.

Tonight we retrace these actions and share a light meal in the Hall: we aim to follow Jesus and live like he did, but as a community together, not on our own.
Please let Roz Burch know if you would like to come, so we know how many places to lay at the table.
