Annual Meeting elects 1st teenager to Church Council

St Peter’s held its Annual Meeting on Sunday 26th April after the morning service. Twenty three church members were there to approve the Annual Report and Accounts, and elect Church Wardens and PCC members. Austin Hoyte and Janet Grant were re-elected as Wardens, but for the PCC there was a new candidate Jade Reed (17), our first teenage PCC member in living memory.

The meeting was over in less than an hour. Is that because everyone had read the Report and understood it? (or did they all want to go home to their lunch?)
