Website Annual Report 2008

Have you visited www.stpetersbraunstone.org.uk yet? If you haven’t got a computer, or are a bit scared of technology, why don’t you ask a child to show you? Or come to Wednesday drop-in and get Chris Florance to show you?

The website task group (Chris B, Chris F, Linda S, and Martin B) have mostly managed to keep the website up-to-date and interesting. There are now lots of different articles, notices, and photos, about many different aspects of who we are and what we’re about at St. Peter’s church.

Through the website, we’re trying to reach people who are out of the area, people looking for a church, those interested in history, and those wanting to know what events are coming up. We’re all part of creating the website for St. Peter’s, to communicate with the world as part of our mission.

We’ve heard from several people who’ve seen the website and think it is good, including some couples who’ve then come to us for their weddings. The number of people visiting the site has, on average, been increasing month by month; however some months when there hasn’t been anything new, the numbers have dropped.

New ideas, photos, notices, and articles are always needed to keep the website interesting and relevant. The task group, while responsible overall, needs everyone to help with this; we’ve found that there have been periods when we’ve been too busy ourselves, so we really need more people to contribute. Don’t worry about the technical side, or about your spelling – that bit we can do for you easily – we just need your stories, news, and photos.

What could someone from around the world want to know about us?

Martin Burch
